Women in Gliding - Weekend 27/28 April
The British Gliding Association is organizing a national event to encourage more women to participate in this wonderful sport. Herefordshire Gliding Club will be taking part in this initiative and welcomes you to come along and give it a try. If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to soar above the spectacular north Herefordshire countryside, here is a perfect opportunity.
Our introductory flights listed below all include three months membership as we are sure you will not only love the experience, but you will be back for more and learn to fly yourself. Gliding is both surprisingly affordable and a delightfully absorbing sport for all. It’s something you can do... so why not give it a go? The flight is in a tandem two seat glider with one of our approved pilots. The launch is behind a tow plane usually to 2,000 feet altitude. A typical flight time is fifteen to thirty minutes depending upon the weather.
The cost includes three months membership to entice you back to fly some more!
